SMALL CLAIMS

The person who sues is called the plaintiff. The person who is sued is called the defendant. In small claims court, you may ask a lawyer for advice before you go to court, but you cannot have a lawyer in court.

For general small claims information along with forms you can visit the California Courts Self Help Center or you can visit EZLegal to fill out small claims forms online.

Small Claims night court is available once each month.  Night court is held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at the Moreno Valley Branch, 13800 Heacock St. Bldg. D #201, Moreno Valley.  Night court starts promptly at 5:30 p.m. and is heard in Department MV1.
