Jury Service

Due to ongoing Caltrans projects affecting the 91 FWY, please visit the Caltrans website: at www.caltrans8.info, and click on the "Commuter Alerts" quick link to the 91 HOV Project Update-Riverside for information on potential delays. Please plan your route accordingly to check-in for jury duty on time.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: There have been recent reports that members of the public have been contacted by someone claiming to be an employee from the Sheriff’s Office who demands payment via a Green Dot transaction to clear up an outstanding warrant. Those called are being told they either do not need to show up for jury duty or are made aware of a traffic violation that did not occur. They are advised they have to pay a fine to the deputy to clear up the outstanding warrant. These calls are fraudulent and have no connection with the Superior Court of California, County of Riverside or the Sheriff’s Department. If you receive such a phone call from someone demanding payment for an outstanding jury warrant, immediately report the situation to your local law enforcement as a crime.

Jury service is mandatory and prospective jurors' names are obtained from voter registration and DMV records. Service may be required as often as once per year and can be from one day to the length of one trial, starting at 8:00 a.m. and ending at 5:00 p.m. Business attire is suggested.
