General Information On Failure To Appear For Jury Service
In the event you were not able to appear on your scheduled summons date for jury service, you will need to appear as soon as possible or contact our office via email or by phone at 951.275.5076 or 760.342.6264 for the Desert region in order to avoid receiving a Failure to Appear notice that can result in a fine, imprisonment or both, pursuant to C.C.P. 209.
Information On What To Do If You Have Received A Failure To Appear Letter
Please contact the Jury Services Division if you need to reschedule your designated date to appear. If the date to appear has already passed, report as soon as possible to avoid receiving an Order to Show Cause notice for failure to attend jury duty with a mandatory court hearing date that cannot be changed.
Riverside, Murrieta and Indio jurors:
Please report at 8:00 a.m. Monday through Thursday (except court holidays).
Please contact Jury Services as soon as possible to reschedule your service.
Failure to respond to the Order to Show Cause notice can result in a fine, imprisonment or both pursuant to C.C.P 209.
