Riverside Superior Court Statement on 2026–27 State Budget

Superior Court of California, County of Riverside Presiding Judge Jacqueline C. Jackson and Court Executive Officer Jason B. Galkin today issued the following statement on the state budget for fiscal year 2026–27:

“The Riverside Superior Court is grateful for the Governor’s continued support of the judicial branch and for the Legislature’s recognition of the essential role trial courts play in protecting access to justice for all Californians.

As Chief Justice Patricia Guerrero noted, sustained investment in the judicial branch is critical to supporting court operations, court interpreters, court-appointed counsel, and the services Californians rely on every day. For Riverside County, this support is especially important. Our Court serves one of the largest and fastest-growing counties in the state, across more than 7,200 square miles and a wide range of urban, suburban, rural, and desert communities.

Continued investment in judicial resources helps ensure that residents can access fair, timely, and meaningful justice, regardless of where they live in our county. We appreciate the Governor, the Legislature, the Judicial Council, and our local partners for their continued commitment to the courts and to the communities we serve.

This budget represents an important step forward, and the Riverside Superior Court remains committed to working collaboratively to meet the growing needs of Riverside County residents.”
