About Self-Help Information Centers

Self-Help Information Centers provide access to legal forms, information and resources for people who do not have attorneys through public computers on site.

Riverside Superior Court provides legal assistance through its Self-Help Legal Services department in the areas of family law, evictions, small claims, name changes, guardianship, conservatorship, probate and restraining orders. You can find information about upcoming workshops and other available assistance below.

Equal Access Policy

The court has adopted an Equal Access / Immigration Enforcement Activities Policy (pdf ) pursuant to Government Code § 7284.8(a) (external site ). Government Code § 7284.8(a) requires that the Attorney General publish model policies "limiting assistance with immigration enforcement to the fullest extent possible consistent with federal and state law" for courts to ensure that "[court facilities] remain safe and accessible to all California residents regardless of immigration status."

The court's policy adopts the provisions required by the Attorney General's model policies. The court's Equal Access / Immigration Enforcement Activities Policy (pdf ), issued September 16, 2020, is available on the court's website.

Additional information and immigration resources are available at the California Court’s Immigration Resource Directory (external site ).
