 Virtual Services are available by Phone or Zoom.

This class is designed specifically for a review of the introduction to eviction and notices.

We will discuss:

  • A brief introduction to evictions,
  • The types of notices currently available
  • Referrals for additional information

ICLS is available for assistance via Zoom to those who qualify. Participants must: 

  • Provide information about income and property to qualify for help.
  • Have a copy of the complaint or the court case number.
  • Have any records of public assistance you get

  • ICLS will help with an answer to the lawsuit.
  • ICLS will demand records from the people suing you.
  • ICLS will try to negotiate a settlement or dismissal of the case.
  • ICLS CANNOT promise you will win.

In-Person Services

On-site services available at specific courthouses.

Assistance is available in Corona, Menifee, Moreno Valley, and Palms Springs at the dates and times listed on the Civil Self Help Events page. 

We can assist with the following civil matters:

  • Residential Evictions
  • Consumer Debt
  • Name Changes
  • Small Claims
  • Civil Harassments
  • Expungements

We cannot assist with the following civil matters:

  • Limited or Unlimited Civil Cases
  • Appeals, except for Small Claims
  • Discovery, Subpoenas, and Law & Motion

Civil Forms Review is available to Self-Represented Litigants only.

Assistance is available in Corona, Indio, Menifee, and Palms Springs at the dates and times listed on the Self Help Legal Services Events page.

Self Help Brief Services

Self-Help Legal Services staff will be available to provide brief services which include explaining available resources, providing access to local and state forms, and scheduling one-on-one forms review appointments, workshops or other services.

Services are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please arrive early, as space may be limited.

  • Services are only available to litigants who do not have an attorney.
  • Court staff cannot provide legal advice.
  • No attorney-client relationship is established through Self Help Legal Services.

Who can be assisted?

Customers seeking legal information, resources, and referrals in the areas of Civil (Residential Evictions, Small Claims, Name Changes, Criminal Expungements).

This Unlawful Detainer Clinic is provided by Inland County Legal Services in partnership with Riverside Superior Court.  

ICLS is available for in-person assistance to those who qualify. ICLS requires an application and approval for legal services.

For questions, call the Housing Hotline: 888-245-4257, select extension 1.

Please note: the clinic's services are on a first come, first served basis. Please come as early as possible as services are not guaranteed.

You only have 10 business days to respond with an "answer" to your eviction paperwork, or you risk losing your case automatically.

Law Library Events: Riverside County Law Library

Riverside County Law Library provides access to legal research assistance and resources including Westlaw, LexisNexis, Nolo self-help guidebooks, treatises, and more. Law library staff help to facilitate access to legal information and can assist with recommending resources from their collection but cannot provide legal advice or guidance.

Legal aid workshops, presentations, and events are held in collaboration with local organizations and volunteer attorneys at all three locations. For upcoming events, visit their events calendar.
