This is an online class offered through Zoom. For dates and times visit the Family Law Workshop Calendar. This online workshop will go over the following:
- Overview of Divorce/Legal Separation
- How to Fill Out Divorce Packet
- How to Fill out Fee Waiver Packet
Form Packets: You are advised to download the following packets and have them available during the presentation to obtain guidance on how to complete the forms, page-by-page.
This is an online class offered through Zoom. For dates and times, visit the Family Law Workshop Calendar. This is the final step to complete a divorce, legal separation or nullity case.
Who should attend this workshop?
This online class is only for:
- Petitioners (the spouse/partner that started the divorce or legal separation), AND
- More than 30 days have passed since the petitioner served the petition and summons, AND
- The respondent (the other spouse/partner) did not file a response (so he or she “defaulted”), AND
- There is no written agreement between the parties.
If you do not meet all of these requirements, then you do not qualify to file a default judgment. If you are unsure if you qualify for a default judgment, please call the Self-Help Legal Services hotline.
Requirements: In order to participate, all participants must have their default judgment packet pre-filled with parties’ names, addresses, case number, and must be about 80% complete. View and download the Default Judgment packet should you have the need.

Mandatory Settlement/Trial Readiness Conference Review Clinic Image

This is an online clinic offered through Zoom. For dates and times visit the Forms Review Calendar page. Who can be helped at this clinic? Parties who are scheduled for either a Mandatory Settlement Conference or a Trial Readiness Conference All packets must be available as a PDF and must be approximately 80% complete. This is a virtual clinic that will take place over Zoom and is intended for customers who can share their form suing their computer screen or view a shared screen. Links To MSC Packets |

Child Support & Image

This is an online class offered through Zoom. For dates and times visit the Forms Review Calendar page. This clinic provides brief information, including an overview of available resources, answers to general questions about your case, and guidance on accessing both local and state court forms. If your forms are at least 80% complete, you may be eligible for a form review by a staff member during the clinic. Forms must be filled out with all necessary details, including party names, addresses, and case numbers. Attention: Services are on a first-come, first-served basis. Please arrive early, as space is limited.
Assistance is available on in Corona, Indio, and Menifee at the dates and times listed on the Forms Review Calendar page.
Who can be helped at this clinic?
- Parties who want to have their divorce or parentage judgment reviewed before filing.
- Those who received their judgment back from the court for corrections.
- Judgment Forms Review is available to Self-Represented Litigants only.
Requirements: In order to participate, customers must bring their family law judgment packets pre-filled with parties’ names, addresses, case number, and must be about 80% complete.

Self-Help Legal Services staff will be available to provide brief services which include explaining available resources, providing access to local and state forms, and scheduling one-on-one forms review appointments, workshops or other services.
Services are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please arrive early, as space may be limited.
- Services are only available to litigants who do not have an attorney.
- Court staff cannot provide legal advice.
- No attorney-client relationship is established through Self Help Legal Services.

Family Law Clinic: Riverside Legal Aid
Family Law Workshops are provided by Riverside Legal Aid (RLA) and are available on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Location: 4129 Main St. Ste 101, Riverside, CA 92501
Riverside Legal Aid provides counsel and advice with an attorney for those who qualify. Attorneys and Paralegals prepare the following court documents for their eligible clients:
- Dissolution Petitions and Responses
- Paternity Petitions and Responses
- Request and Response for Orders
Assistance with other Family Law matters will require an appointment. Riverside Legal Aid can be reached at (951) 682-7968, Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Domestic Violence Clinic: Legal Aid Society of San Bernardino
This Domestic Violence Clinic is provided by Legal Aid Society of San Bernardino (LASSB) in partnership with Riverside Superior Court.
The Legal Aid Society of San Bernardino is available for in-person assistance on Monday - Thursday from 8:00 AM - 11:30 PM and 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM.
Location: Riverside Family Law Courthouse - 4175 Main Street (3rd Floor), Riverside, CA 92501. Sign in at the lobby. Do not pull a ticket number from the kiosk to receive assistance.
Feel free to reach their telephonic clinics at (909) 277-7889, offering assistance to domestic violence and sexual assault survivors residing in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. Additionally, we provide legal representation to individuals who meet our eligibility criteria. Our operating hours are Monday to Thursday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
